Description Location: Middletown, DE Work Model: 4 Days onsite, Friday work from Home Salary: $55,000 -$70,000/Year Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our company's financial transactions. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and support the overall financial health of the business. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities: - Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process. - Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. - Prepare and issue invoices, manage collections, and follow up on outstanding payments. - Reconcile bank and credit card statements. - Assist in payroll processing and ensure accurate records of employee payments. - Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. - Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. - Assist in preparing tax filings and liaising with accountants as necessary. - Maintain organized and updated financial records. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role. - Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms. - Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. - Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements. - Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field experience preferred. - Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is a plus.
