Under the administrative direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Information Technology (IT) Manager II (Enterprise Services Chief) is responsible for the leadership of the IT Enterprise Services Branch, consisting of Platform Services, Network Operations, Identity and Enterprise Applications, and Desktop and Mobile Support. Directly and through subordinate resources, the incumbent ensures the timely delivery of services and provides leadership and technical direction to technology professionals in support of cloud computing platform services, server administration, identity management, and end user support.

This position works primarily in the office, but limited telework may be available for California residents based on the requirements of the position. Hiring interviews may be available virtually, using teleconferencing or video conferencing options.
While working on-site, the incumbent works in a professional office environment, in a climate-controlled area which may fluctuate in temperature and is under artificial light. The incumbent will be required to use a computer, mouse, and keyboard, and will be required to sit for long periods of time at a computer screen. The incumbent must be able to focus for long periods of time, multi-task, adapt to changes in priorities, and complete tasks or projects with short notice. The incumbent must develop and maintain cooperative working relationships and display professionalism and respect for others in all contact opportunities.A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be included. An SOQ is a narrative that describes your qualifications for this position. The SOQ must be no more than three (3) pages long, single-spaced, with one-inch margins, in 12-point font, organized and numbered as reflected below. You must respond to all the following items:
1. Describe and provide examples of your leadership experience, including techniques or approach to developing and motivating teams; facilitating organizational change; guiding process and performance improvements; and establishing goals/objectives and managing progress through to completion.
2. Describe and provide an example of a technology solution you implemented to resolve a problem that was affecting the delivery of an IT service. Describe the problem, the steps you took to determine the best solution, and the implementation process. What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
3. Describe and provide examples of your technical knowledge and experience in the areas of:
a. Cloud Platform Services (i.e. AWS, Azure, etc)
b. Server Administration
c. Enterprise Network Operations
d. Identity and Access Management
e. End User Support

• Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the California State Administrative Manual (SAM), and California Statewide Information Management Manual (SIMM).
