Role Purpose

The Corporate Strategy team is responsible for strategic and financial engagement with key internal and external stakeholders. The team also plays a critical role in executing the Investor Relations strategy, managing the corporate strategy process and enterprise risks, and deploying digital tools to support the analysis of strategic decision making. 

As a member of the team, you will be exposed to a wide variety of Corning’s businesses and functions, engage with senior company executives, and influence Corning’s long-term strategy and capital allocation decisions. 

Key Responsibilities

The Corporate Strategy Manager will execute strategy projects at the corporate level and in Corning’s businesses, including: 

• conducting comprehensive market research and competitive analysis 
• analyzing industry trends and emerging technologies to identify areas for investment and growth 
• presenting complex data in an understandable and actionable manner 
• applying strategy frameworks and building the business case to recommend strategic investments  
• demonstrating that strategic initiatives create shareholder value 

Additionally, the Corporate Strategy Manager will develop content to communicate Corning’s strategy internally and externally and manage Corning’s strategy community of practice.  

The Corporate Strategy Manager will partner with strategy practitioners across Corning’s businesses, and Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Development as appropriate. 

You will be successful in this position if you are intellectually curious and a creative thinker, possess a quantitative background, have advanced knowledge of business and financial concepts, and have superb writing and presentation skills. 

Experiences/Education - Required

• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment research, or a related field
• B.S. in Engineering, Science, Math, Business and  MBA or Masters
• Data-driven and analytical  with a strong business curiosity
• Well-developed leadership and project management skills with high degree of individual accountability along with being a team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication with strong attention to detail

The range for this position is $123,572.00 - $169,912.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
