Title: Drupal DevOps Engineer
Location: Washington DC-Baltimore Area (Hybrid)

Role Description:
Hex5 Digital is seeking a Drupal DevOps Engineer to support a public-sector website modernization initiative aimed at improving digital access, reliability, and performance for community services. This role is contingent upon contract award and will focus on configuring and managing a Drupal CMS hosted on Acquia or Pantheon, establishing secure deployment pipelines, and aligning technical operations with government standards.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with Drupal development and DevOps toolchains (e.g., Composer, Drush, Git, CI/CD tools)
Proficiency in Linux system administration and web server configuration (Apache/Nginx)
Solid understanding of CI/CD workflows and deployment automation
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, especially in production environments
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Prior experience supporting state, local, or federal government web initiatives
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible
Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms, especially Acquia, Pantheon, or AWS
Understanding of accessibility compliance standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG)
